I will try to give a quick version of how we got here.......First, I married a man from Romania when I was 18. I lived there for a year and a half. It was a great experience. So, we worked hard and made a good life for ourselves.
We always tossed the idea around about owning a restaurant for some time. We make delicious Romanian food. But, I refused to take that plunge, coming from the restaurant business, I know that it is hard work and long hours. So two years ago, it hit us! A concession business. We have control of our hours, we can travel and introduce our food to more people than in one location and it sounds super fun! This year, we put our dreams into action.
It wasn't as easy as we thought. So please, think before you jump! We did all the hard leg work, we made a lot of mistakes, and we paid for our mistakes!
First lesson, be careful where you buy your trailer!! Check not once but twice, then call the police just to be sure they don't know the man building your trailer! I didn't do this and was scammed out of the money for my first trailer. It put quite a dent into the start of our business.
So, the beginning of our story, is a bit harder than we would have liked. But it resulted in my husband, Mihai, building our trailer. It turned out beautiful. So if you want to make that jump; we are happy to custom build the vehicle that will take you to where you want to go. We guarantee that everyone stops just to see our trailer!
So, now that we got through our challenges, we have been striving to introduce our specialties to America. Also, from much request we have started this web page to offer our T-shirts and products and information. They have become quite popular at all our events!
That is our story. I am just an American girl married to a crazy Romanian man and we are on a conquest to dazzle the American taste-buds with something new! So when you stumble upon us at your local festival, don't miss the delicious experience in front of you !
